  1. How can I get a quotation?

    To get a quotation, you can:

    • Fill out the enquiry form on this website
    • Send us an email by clearly precising the type (samples, commercial goods, moving, personal effects), the content, the weight and dimensions and the destination of your shipment.
    • Contact us at +86 21 62 555 336 (reply with quotation by email only)
    • Ask for an SAE representative to come at your apartment to help you estimate the volume of your shipment (For moving services)
  2. What are the different steps for a shipment?

    After your acceptance of our quotation, we will:

    • Schedule a date and time for the packing / pickup at your specified address;
    • Perform the packing / pickup;
    • Confirm the final air chargeable weight of your shipment after final weighting at SAE warehouse (Minhang, Shanghai);
    • Settle the payment;
    • Dispatch your shipment;
    • Deliver your shipment at the destination address.
  3. What are the terms of payment?

    The payment needs to be settled before the shipment leaves China.

  4. What are the items that I cannot send?

    Totally restricted:

    • Copies of luxurious brands
    • Corrosive products
    • Explosive products
    • Flammable products
    • Gases
    • Toxic products

  5. How long will it take for my shipment to be delivered?

    To the main destinations (Western Europe, North America, Australia), the usual door-to-door transit time is around 3 working days.

    To other destinations, the usual door-to-door transit can be extended to 7 working days.

    For your information, the total transit time can be prolonged during the custom clearance process.

  6. Does SAE provide low-cost services to any destination?

    We deliver by air door-to-door from China to any major destinations worldwide.

    We do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

    For remote locations, thank you to contact us for confirmation.

  7. What is the "Fuel Surcharge"?

    The Fuel Surcharge is an extra charge imposed by the carriers due to the fluctuation of the costs for fuel.

    The charge is a % based upon the fuel prices published by the U.S. Department of Energy.

    The FS is adjusted monthly, on the first Monday of the month.

  8. What is the "Air Volumetric Weight"?

    Sometimes, large items with a light overall weight can be charged according to the space they take up on aircraft. In these cases, Volumetric Weight, or Air Chargeable Weight (ACW), is used to calculate the shipment cost.

  9. Can my items be insured in case of lost, damages or any other kind of incidents?

    We propose an All-Risks covered insurance for household goods and commercial goods.

    The charge is 2% of the total declared amount for commercial goods.
    The charge is 3% of the total declared amount for household goods.

  10. What kind of documents do I have to provide for my shipment?

    Household goods: only the photocopy of your passport.

    Samples: no document required.

    Commercial goods (export): according to the type of goods and the registration of your company - please contact us for details.
